Repairs
Most of what goes wrong with a table is fixable and worth fixing. A good table is a thirty-year piece of furniture; the parts that wear are the parts designed to be replaced.
What the job includes
- Cushion and rail rubber replacement when the bounce has gone
- Pocket, net and leather replacement
- Slate re-levelling and seam repair
- Frame, leg and bolt repairs on tables that have been moved badly
- Cue repair: tips, ferrules, wraps, shaft cleaning and refinishing
- Diagnosis, if you know something is wrong but not what
What we'll need from you
- What the table or cue is doing that it shouldn't
- Table size, brand and rough age
- A photo or two — for anything visible this saves a trip
Good to know
Cue repairs come to the counter; you don't need an appointment to drop one off.
Dead cushions are the most common call we get and the most commonly misdiagnosed. If balls come off the rail short and dull, it's usually rubber, not cloth.
We'll tell you when a repair isn't worth it. On some imported tables the parts cost more than the table did.
