Our commitment
We want this site to be usable by as many people as possible, including shoppers who use screen readers, keyboard navigation, screen magnification, or other assistive technology.
Standards we target
We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.1 at Level AA. These cover four principles: content should be perceivable, interfaces should be operable, content should be understandable, and code should be robust enough for assistive technologies to interpret.
What we do today
- Semantic HTML for headings, landmarks, and lists.
- A skip-to-content link and visible focus rings on every interactive element.
- Keyboard navigation for the main menu, cart drawer, and forms.
- ARIA labels, roles, and live regions where the semantics aren't already conveyed by the markup.
- Animations and auto-advancing carousels respect the
prefers-reduced-motionsetting. - Color contrast checked against WCAG AA on text and interactive states.
Known limitations
Accessibility is ongoing work. Areas we're actively improving:
- Some product photography may not have a descriptive alt text yet. We're backfilling as the catalog is reviewed.
- PDF documents (if any) may not be fully tagged for screen readers. We will provide an HTML alternative on request.
